The Dwell is designed with the smallest footprint while still having all the necessary features of a modern home. Due to its minimal size, it will fit on many in-town lots and the style will blend and complement existing homes.

The kitchen has a 24" full-sized refrigerator, an 18" built-in dishwasher, and a 24" induction/electric range with an over-the-range microwave. There is a utility room with a stacked washer/dryer and additional storage. The appliances are all electric and Energy Star rated. There is a full-sized bathroom with a tub/shower, toilet, and 36" vanity. All plumbing fixtures are WaterSense certified.

The ADU has R-49 batt insulation in the attic with a raised heel truss and R-21 batt insulation in the 2 x 6 exterior walls. The slab foundation has 2" rigid insulation throughout, and the optional floor joists have R-30 batt insulation as well as an optional stemwall foundation. This unit will has Cold-Climate Air Source Heat Pump rated down to -22 degrees Fahrenheit, with a variable-speed compressor, Energy Star-rated defrost mechanism, and noise reduction technology. Hot water is provided by a tankless electric water heater in the utility room.

The ADU has 30-year architectural asphalt shingle and Hardie Panel SmartSide panel siding, soffit, and trim. The Dwell is designed to easily add solar roof panels with storage in the utility room.
